A musician explained to me precisely,
That the times for guitars are over, -
The guitars are replaced by electric organs,
Electric pianos and power saws.
And the guitar once more
Will not be quiet -
It sings in moonlit nights,
As in my youth,
With its seven
Silvery strings!..
I have heard yesterday - someone sang on the Boulevard:
The voice was firm, the voice was beautiful, -
But it seems to me - the boring guitar
Sounds in between its playful motive.
And in spite of it
Will not be quiet -
It sings in moonlit nights,
As in my youth,
With its seven
Silvery strings!..
The electric piano does not suit me, of course -
Others appear with different songs, -
But it seems to me - that with the quitar
We will not go in the well-earned and unwelcome retirement.
And the guitar once more
Will not be quiet -
It sings in moonlit nights,
As in my youth,
With its seven
Silvery strings!..
